Honey

for a sweet smelling face mask, mix equal parts of honey and your favorite face mask together. Honey has moisturizing and antibacterial properties to hydrate your dry skin and clear out your acne-prone skin. finally this tip is from the April 2008 issue of CosmoGirl.

Sugar!

Sure we all know sugar is a yummy fattening treat, for people with sensitive skin, try putting it on your skin not in your mouth! mix a fingerful of face cleanser with a cube or pinch of sugar. Wash your face with it, trying not to get in your eyes this will gently exfoliate your skin. for normal skin you can use sesame seeds instead of sugar. use a coffe bean grinder to crush up the seeds for about 20 seconds or however long it takes to make them extra finely ground. The rough seeds will smooth your skin just like those fancy microbeads. Also the fatty acids from the seeds will moisturize your skin. yummy! this tip is from the cosmogirl April 2008 issue as well.

EGGstra shiny

Mix a raw egg with one tablespoon of shampoo. This will give your hair a shiny volumized look. Make sure when you use this eggtastic mix, the water isn't too hot or the egg will cook in your hair. ewwww!!! this tip is also from the april 2008 issue of CosmoGirl

Baking soda part 2

this tip is from CosmoGirl in the April 2008 issue. If you mix a tablespoon of baking soda with a blob of shampoo the size of a quarter. It will remove the buildup of styling products. Use it once a week as a clarifying agent. If you add it to bath gel in a bubble bath, it can be used as an itch soothing soak.

Green Eyes

Green eyes look totally cool with purple shadow that makes them pop! Subtle golds and tans also bring out the brown tones in your eyes. if you have a hard time picking certain colors, check out almay custom color kits. they have them at any drug or convenience store. Almay makes specially designed kits to enchance or bring out your natural eye color. have fun!

Blue eyed beauties! Here are some eye makeup tips for you... silver eyeshadow looks really good and makes your eyes sparkle, but pink (especially orangy pink) looks really good too because it contrasts with the blue. One of my favorites is also gold because it contrasts also and is metallic. brown eyeliner and mascara looks good too because it doesn't look too dark with your fair eyes. blue eyeliner obviously looks good too.

Baking soda

Baking soda....whitens teeth, and clears skin when mixed with water to make a paste and used to wash face/or as face mask (that tip is from Nicole from Yahoo!Answers) Thanks Nicole!

Eyeliner!

Here is an eyeliner tip. Do you love using colored eyeliner? Sometimes it can get a little light and is hard to concentrate on. Here is a tip that I discovered on my own, after you put on your funky colored eyeliner, put some brown or black in your lashline. That will anchor the color and frame your eyes more. Use a smudgy eyeliner or smudge it yourself witha special smudge brush. (I know, I just used the word "smudge" 3 times in one sentence. lol there it is again.)

For all you brown-eyed beauties- Eyeshadow colors that really make your eyes pop are greens and purples. According to Cosmogirl, lime is the hot color for spring too, so take advantage of this and how good it looks on you and check it out! Here's some pics:

Frizz?

Eww! Everyone hates that extra frizz, so heres a solution. After you make your perfect ponytail, just put spritz some hairspray on your hands and rub them over your hair and frizz. After that, you'll be frizz free! (Here's the hairspray I use)

No time for a shower?

Too much homework? Out late? Slept in? Whatever your reason, you just didn't get a chance to take a shower! Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. In between washes, refresh your hair with a shine serum. (My favorite is Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum *pic at right*) But be careful, with some hairtypes, it can become greasy, so just know what is best for you. :)
